After bagging the prestigious title of ‘National Capital of India 2019-20’ by winning the global climate challenge last month, Rajkot has added another feather to its cap by becoming the first city to get the crucial Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) certification for the Raiya Smart City.
CRISIL, KPMG, ICRA and Jones Lang La Salle are some of the top consultants appointed by the cities. The consulting firms will prepare detailed smart city proposals, including area development plans and financing plans, under the supervision of urban local bodies and state governments. The last date for the submission of the proposals is 15 December, 2015.

For Smart Cities project, the nodal agencies like the Town and Country Planning Department, Urban Development Authority, etc will appoint a consultant from the empaneled list for assisting in preparation of a detailed project report (DPR). The consultant will assess the quantum of work as per the draft request for proposal (RFP) and draw up proposal for the DPR.
