Wipro, a global information technology, consulting and business process services company, has announced that it will enter into a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric, a global player in energy management and automated systems. The partnership will develop convergent solutions for India’s upcoming Smart Cities.
According to the arrangement, Wipro and Schneider Electric will collaborate to enable the delivery of cost-effective and efficient citizen services to urban and rural communities. Both Wipro and Schneider will jointly develop solutions in the Smart City space for India and global markets.
The two companies have an existing strong partnership around various IT and IT-enabled services. They are now collaborating to focus on key operational technology (OT) areas like energy optimisation, analytics and citizen service improvement for Smart Cities.
