In order to prepare for the City Transformation Office as a part of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City initiative, the city improvement committee is planning on visiting another country.
Suggestions such as sustainable mobility, waste management, healthcare, education, water, green city, safety, security, sports, e-governance, emergency services, information technology and economic development have been given to the City Transformation Office by nearly 14,000 citizens.
As reported, the plan will be developed on Municipal Chief Shravan Hardikar’s direction. As per Civic Chief, based on the lines of world’s best practices observed in cities like Rio, Manchester, Barcelona, Santiago and Birmingham, a strategic plan will be prepared.
Including corporators and officials, a 10-member committee is reportedly said to prepare the development plan. Palladium, the private firm that handles the City Transformation Office, has been conducting inclusive development of Pimpri Chinchwad’s sustainable ecosystem, fast-track delivery of results and unique identity.
