A new resource, the website of Smart Cities Council India, was launched on September 3, 2015, at a regional workshop being conducted by the Ministry of Urban Development for capacity building amid Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of over 40 cities belonging to Northern states of India in New Delhi.

The website launch was announced by Founder & Director, Pratap Padode, during his presentation alongside multilateral agencies like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, The Department for International Development and others.

Dr Sameer Sharma, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development and 'Smart Cities' mission director was presiding over the workshop.

'This website will fulfil the need for knowledge on smart cities for ULBs, smart cities practitioners, solution providers, urban planners, consultants, architects, builders and so on. It offers a wide range of successful case studies from India which can be emulated,' stated Pratap Padode after his presentation.
