A deadline of 30 days has been set up by the Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Ltd (NMSCDCL) to complete the Rs 193-crore plan project of upgrading the basic infrastructure in the old city areas. The project will give a facelift to roads, water supply lines, stormwater system and the sewage lines in the old city areas. A total road length of 36 km in Ramwadi-Sriram School-Talkuteshwar Chowk- Trimbak Naka areas will get a much-needed upgrade.
The contractor is expected to start the works next month. The project includes redevelopment of major and minor roads, upgradation of infrastructure utility services such as water supply and sewage systems in these areas.
The roads, with overall length of 36 km, are to be developed on total of 598 acres in old Panchavati and parts old city area of the Nashik-West division. “There will be 100 per cent differently-abled pathways,” added Prakash Thavil, chief executive officer of NMSCDCL..
