Mangaluru takes the zonal route to discuss Smart City project

To take into account maximum opinion and feedback, the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) said will push for zonal-level consultation with stakeholders for the Smart City project.

The acting consultant for Mangaluru, IIDC has also encouraged tech-savvy citizens to expore and send it their suggestions.

According to a Times of India report, the consultations will be held in three zones of MCC under the leadership of mayor Jacintha Vijay Alfred and area corporators. Based on the discussion, the proposal for smart city will be finalised and sent to the Union government for approval, said H N Gopalakrishna, commissioner, MCC.

Each of the 98 selected cities are suppose to draft and submit their proposals within a period of 100-days.
