In order to bring transparency and smooth collaboration within various departments of urban local bodies and for the benefit of citizens, the Government of Madhya Pradesh has embraced e-governance by launching a new mobile app – MP e-Nagar Palika. More than 370 services of civic bodies will be made available online round-the-clock under the new app. From registering complaints on garbage disposal to paying property tax, Madhya Pradesh has done it all for its citizens.
The primary goal of the project is to provide municipal services to citizens through multiple service delivery channels and ensure accessible, convenient, transparent and timely delivery of services. Citizens can file online complaints and subsequently track the status of their complaints online and apply online for birth/marriage/death certificate. Online payment gateway will be available on MP e-Nagar Palika.
Some of the listed services under MP e-Nagar Palika include complaints for streetlights, water supply, stray animals, property tax, water connection and bill payment, fire NOC, and other free services like request for ambulance, request for mobile toilet, etc.
Paid services under the app include request for litter and debris collection, request for evidence certificate for insurance claims, request for fire extinguishing services, request for septic tank cleaning, request for sewerage cleaning, request for tree cutting, request for water tanker, to name a few.
